May 1 Rally & March: Immigrants Are Welcome Here
This rally is part of the May Day National Day of Action. Participants will rally and march to honor workers, immigrants, and the fight for justice. This year's rally message is clear: IMMIGRANTS ARE WELCOME HERE!
LWVPGH is assembling a group to attend the rally and march and we'd love to see you there. Please register below to let us know if you can join us, and provide your contact information so we can arrange to meet up at the rally.
Date: Thursday, May 1
Time: 5:00pm - 7:30pm
Meet-up location: United Steelworkers Union (USW) Headquarters, Downtown 60 Blvd of the Allies, Pittsburgh, PA 15222
Please note that if you are joining our LWV group at the rally, your signs must be in keeping with our non-partisan policy. In other words, do not carry signs mentioning any elected officials by name, or criticizing a specific political party by name. Variations on the "May Day Rally" message are welcome, as well as criticism of oligarchy, recent government actions, policies, general lawlessness, bullying and incompetence, attacks on American values, etc.
