About this event
Now that the federal election is over, it's time to refocus our efforts on state and local issues where we can really make a difference. In PA, we have a split government which should give us an opportunity to forge some compromise around really important issues like minimum wage, public education funding and curriculum, veterans' issues and tax rates. These are the kinds of issues that affect each and every one of us.
As we have seen time and time again, politicians who are able to set their own voting districts and receive large contributions from corporate donors often have little incentive to compromise and instead have every reason to remain in power. So, it's time for citizens to take back some of that power by supporting a new process for redistricting that would create a Citizens Redistricting Commission. We can do this together.
